Trends

Like sheets blowing in the breeze, nothing looks fresher on a summer day than crisp, clean white clothing. When temperatures soar, white feels cooler in airy cotton or linen.

Pair white with colorful pieces or contrast accessories to avoid that all white "Good Humor Man" look. A white peasant top can tone down print Capri pants. White bottoms work equally well with bright colors or neutrals such as black or brown. Classic red, white and blue signifies all-American style while paying tribute to our country. Sassy black and white is timeless. Striped navy and white is nautical chic. Eyelet is popular in blouses and sundresses accented with color sandals and accessories. Try a white dress with fuchsia sandals.

Neutrals such as cream or beige are strong mixed with black, brown or red. Natural materials are woven through all categories from beaded t-shirts, linen skirts, raffia trimmed hats, macramé rope handbags, and wooden bangle bracelets.

Metallic sandals are not just for evenings. Bronze, silver and gold look equally at home with pants or skirts. Select a metal that mixes best with the main color story of your wardrobe. Keep other accessories to a minimum and let your feet shine. Silver looks best with cool colors (blue, green, purple). Gold and bronze glow when mixed with warm colors (red, yellow, orange). Any color metal will complement black, white, or navy.

How Does Fashion Fix Work?

How do you work with a client and what are the benefits they receive?

First, I conduct a 15 minute complimentary phone conversation to discuss the client's wardrobe concerns. Once we meet face-to-face, I determine their body shape and discuss styles that will be more suitable to their figure type. I then go through a palette of swatches to determine which colors they should wear that are most flattering based on their skin tone and hair color and which colors should be avoided.

Next, I go into their closet and organize their clothing by season and category, explaining the reasons why each garment could be right for them (and gets to stay) and which ones need to be purged. This educational process will help them avoid future mistakes when shopping by knowing which styles and colors are appropriate for them. Once the purging is complete, I show them how to mix and match the remaining items (complete with accessories). As I go along, I keep a
