Connect the dots in something polka-dot – be it a chiffon blouse, fluid dress, belt or peep-toe pumps. Big or little - circles and dots bring out the fun in your wardrobe.

Fashion Fix

Spring has sprung. It’s not only time to spring clean your house, but your closet too. Toss all the clothing you haven’t worn in a year. Start the season anew by updating your wardrobe with all the things that will make you smile like the sun. Get a fresh new hairdo. Treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure. HAPPY SPRING!

Seasonal Etiquette

Don’t rush the season.  The barometer for bringing out the spring clothing is usually around Easter.  Unless you live in the tropics, Capri pants, shorts and sandals shouldn’t be worn until the weather has had a chance to “warm up” a bit.  Even thought there might be an unseasonably warm day in February, that’s no reason to be sporting flip flops.  Half naked feet look wrong when paired with winter clothing.

There is a combination of soft and structured dressing such as wearing a tailored dress with a soft sweater or a flowing skirt with a woven jacket.

Men – easy does it with relaxed styles such as linen shirts and seersucker jackets. Shirts are striped.

For men and women, neutrals make a statement with sorbet shades of melon, lemon, mango and lavender. Like the burst of new grass, spring green is the dominant palette of the season especially mixed with neutrals. Black and white are tossed together in graphic prints. Classics take on a modern approach. Tried and true styles include nautical stripes, polka dots in the traditional red, white and navy color story.

You can create the illusion of multiple outfits simply by the use of accessories (same blouse –
