Trends

Spring '06 is alive with color. Inspirations from Mexico make turquoise, coral and other bright colors perfect for a day in the sun. Designers are reeling in colorful catches as motifs from oceanic life - seahorses, fish and shells are popping up on everything from clothing to accessories. Sapphire blue, aqua marine, blue topaz and turquoise stand alone or are combined to accent jewelry to handbags.

Another direction for spring is global influences from Africa and India. Fabrics consist of leafy floral prints and abstract tribal motifs. Materials such as wood and bone are mixed with gems. Chunky earrings and layered necklaces add to the exotic look.

Dresses are back in vogue and have all the charm of yester-year. Feminine and fun, they relive our girlhood dreams. Romantic styles flow with a 40's vibe, full skirts swirl from the 50's and shirtdresses "a la June Cleaver" give a nod to the 60's taking these classic styles to a new level.
