A coat should be selected with body type in
mind. Single-breasted styling and vertical seaming give
illusion of height – ideal for petite woman.
Double-breasted styles, horizontal seaming or large pockets
will add width. Avoid any detailing that draws attention to
problem areas (pocket flaps accentuate full hips).
Wool, cashmere or camel hair represent the
best quality fibers and will keep you toasty. Avoid acrylic
fibers – the fabric tends to pill and appear shabby over
time. Linings made of silk, polyester or nylon are stronger
than acetate.

As
a stay-at-home mom, I devoted little time to my wardrobe. I
am not a confident shopper and avoid it at all costs. My
recent venture into work outside the home since my children
were born was a glaring wake up call to how desperately I
had neglected my wardrobe.
Paula skillfully pinpointed my wardrobe
needs. She spoke to me about my body shape, skin tone and
what colors and clothing styles would be most flattering.
After visiting my closet and gently putting most items into
the “share with others” pile, she explained what to keep and
what to toss. She made a long list of what I needed to
basically start a new wardrobe, especially in the work
department. It was so educational.

Inviting someone into your home, especially
into your bedroom, is a very personal thing. Yet, I felt
very comfortable with Paula doing this. She was
professional, encouraging and shared so much information
with me.
When shopping, I get a fuzzy feeling in my
head I call “mall head” when I’ve been there over an hour.
Paula and I shopped for four hours and the time flew! I
spent the bulk of the time in a dressing room while Paula
brought in different sizes, colors, styles - many that I
would never have picked on my own. We left with 20 items of
clothing, most of which could be worn with each other, fit
well, were great colors and comfortable. I never could have
accomplished what we did on my own. I’ve worn many of my
outfits to work, out to dinner and out with my kids.
Thank you so much Paula for all your fashion
help. I love the feeling of wearing a new outfit, one
that’s fashionable, comfortable and fits me well. I have a
newfound sense of confidence in my new clothes and a spring
in my step. It was a pleasure working with Paula and I
wholeheartedly recommend Fashion Fix to anyone seeking to
re-energize their wardrobe.” ■
